Tree maintenance · Plant health care
Treat the tree while there is still a tree to treat.
Plant Health Care is Artmire's science-based program for trees and shrubs: disease prevention, fertilization, soil management and insect control, aimed at a landscape that stays vibrant, disease-free and resilient.
Why a healthy tree is worth a program
Healthy plants add to property value, to safety and to the balance of everything growing around them. Our PHC programs are built to prevent disease and pests, improve growth and longevity, reduce tree stress and avoid costly removals.
The last of those matters most to people with a mature tree they would rather keep. Early intervention saves a declining tree, and a removal is a far bigger bill than a treatment.

Prevention first, then growth, stress and the save
Prevent disease and pests: proactive treatments stop an infestation before it spreads from one tree to the next. Improve growth and longevity: balanced nutrients and soil care promote strong roots, which is where a tree's long-term health is decided.
Reduce tree stress: we work to mitigate the damage from drought, pollution or construction. Avoid costly removals: when a tree is declining, catching it early is what makes a recovery possible at all.
Fertilization and soil, from a certified arborist
The work covers disease prevention, fertilization, soil management and insect control treatments. Our certified arborists treat infestations from Emerald Ash Borers, Carpenter Ants, Spider Mites, Japanese Beetles, Oak Wilt and more.
Artmire's is Texas Oak Wilt Qualified, which matters in a part of the state where oaks line so many streets and yards. If a tree needs a firmer diagnosis first, an arborist consultation comes before any treatment is chosen.

Five things we treat for.
- Ash borer
- Emerald Ash Borer: a beetle whose larvae feed under the bark of ash trees.
- Ants
- Carpenter ants: they nest in wood that is already damp or decaying.
- Mites
- Spider mites: tiny sap feeders that stipple leaves, worst in hot, dry weather.
- Beetles
- Japanese beetles: adults chew leaves down to the veins through summer.
- Oak wilt
- A fungal disease of oaks, carried between trees by roots and by beetles visiting fresh wounds.

The list is the ones we name most often, not the whole of it. If something else is eating your tree, we treat infestations from these and more.
